She is a democracy, human rights and governance expert who has worked extensively in the identification, formulation, implementation and evaluation of large and smaller scale programs. These programs have allowed her to work extensively in fragile and poverty affected areas, focusing on stabilization, state-building, human security as well as championing for the rights of vulnerable and marginalized workers.
She has over 8 years' of experience in project management. She holds a Masters in Town and Regional Urban Planning from University of Pretoria, South Africa, an advanced certificate in Human Rights and Development from the Centre for Human Rights University of Antwerp-Belgium and two advanced Certificates on Human Rights in Africa and Gender equity in Africa from the Centre for Human Rights University of Pretoria, a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning from Makerere University. She has served as a panelist on the African Youth Panel a platform that provides room for the African Youth to dialogue on issues affecting Africa with focus on youth employment, governance and participation. Grace is currently the Assistant Executive Director of Platform for Labour Action and is overall responsible for programming and change management.
